Small Town Feel | Herriman Utah Family Photographer

You know what’s the best? When your best friend/client scouts your photography location for you. She found this cutest spot right near her house and you bet I’m going to be frequenting it often. Right off of Main Street Herriman, with the looks of the smallest Utah towns. After multiple newborn sessions in the dark studio, there’s something so refreshing about getting outside and doing a family session. I absolutely love capturing the connection between your family.  And this family, cream of the crop. I mean this mama brought her first baby to me when I got my very first DSLR and I took pictures of him in my bedroom. I slapped a horrendous filter on it and was dang proud of that picture. haha. Now he’s almost as tall as his mama and there are 3 more babies.  And my photography has grown a bit since then. I just love these people.

A Small Town Location in Herriman, Utah

Herriman still has some of my favorite open fields in the Salt Lake Valley. The golden grass, quiet roads, and mountain views give sessions a small town feel that is hard to find closer to the city.

While I no longer photograph full family sessions outdoors, many of the families I photograph for newborn and baby sessions come from Herriman, Riverton, and South Jordan. I love welcoming these families into my studio for calm, beautifully styled newborn portraits during baby’s first weeks.
