Could this sweet newborn girl be any more perfect? This pastel vintage quilt is just one of my favorite props and so perfect for Easter thatās coming up soon! Sheās just the perfect little easter egg all bundled up. All of her colors flowed so perfectly with the outfits that mom picked out for them. Her two brothers and sister were just the cutest with her. I just love when my little clients sleep through their whole sessions.

I love when people are willing to go out in the elements to shoot with me. Pictures in the snow are so beautiful and worth being cold for a little bit, right?! Avery was so patient with me as I took her from spot to spot, her little nose getting more red by the minute. And since Averyās mom is a long time friend, she was fully supportive of all my crazy antics. We went up Rose Canyon in Herriman, UT for this session just minutes from their house. Such a beautiful location thatās pretty close to a lot of people in the south end of the valley. Avery chose to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I just love her baptism dress and accessories. Congratulations to this sweet girl on her big decision!
If you have a child getting baptized soon contact me to book your session!
You know one of the greatest things about being a photographer? You can train your husband to use your camera and then capture lifeās moments that you just canāt capture yourself. I mean Iām a pretty great multi-tasker but birthing a baby and taking the pictures at the same time is out of even my expertise. So my husband mans the camera which really is a great task for him since all of that baby birthing stuff is not his particular cup of tea. And then weāre both happy. But I can promise as your Utah Birth Photographer that I will not bring my husband to capture your birth story. Weāll leave that to the professionals. You know what Iām saying? But really, he did a wonderful job. He got the one picture that I really just couldnāt get myself and thatās all I could have asked for. After he left to tend to our other two kids I was able to let me creative side out and really let loose on Baby Max. I mean honestly, when the nurse walked in and I was standing on my bed with my massive camera and sweet baby Max laying below, they probably noted my chart then and there that I was a bit on the crazy side. And you know what? Theyāre probably right.
Newborn babies are the absolute bestest. I love how I have pictures to forever remember that I literally COULD. NOT. keep my hands off my sweet newborn boy. I just needed to feel his soft skin, his tiny little heart beating against my own. Max made his debut to the world after just a minute and twenty seconds of pushing and if I could go back and change anything I would have sucked more at pushing so it could have lasted longer. My sweet perfect Baby Max, welcome to the world.
Kind of an overshare but you just canāt sum up a birth story with a few pictures, right? Contact me so that you can forever remember how you just couldnāt stop touching your newborn baby.
There are a few of my best friends that have been coming to get their pictures done with me since the beginning of time. Since before I had the faintest clue what I was doing. Back when sepia tones and selective coloring was a thing. Their families have grown as my skills have grown. Our friendships have grown. Baptisms, births, birthdays. Iāve documented so much of their lives. I love these people. Theyāre my people. So meet Holden. The 6th member of one of my most favorite families.
Isnāt it so fun that she wanted some newborn pics done outside? I love the unique touch it brings to their gallery.
